Participants will develop strong operational discipline, understand machine components, and gain hands-on experience in performing loading, trenching, and backfilling works. The programme also emphasises safety awareness, hazard identification, and proper maintenance practices to ensure efficient and safe equipment usage.<\/p>\n

Learning Objectives:<\/p>\n

Upon completion of the programme, learners will be able to:<\/p>\n\n

  • Operate the Caterpillar 966H Wheel Loader within its design capabilities and limitations<\/li>\n \t
  • Identify key machine parts, functions, and operating characteristics<\/li>\n \t
  • Conduct pre-operation, during-operation, and post-operation inspections<\/li>\n \t
  • Apply safe driving and operational techniques, including loading and material handling<\/li>\n \t
  • Perform work activities such as loading, trench digging, and backfilling safely<\/li>\n \t
  • Carry out basic preventive maintenance, including checking engine oil, hydraulic oil, coolant, and transmission systems<\/li>\n \t
  • Understand servicing schedules and maintenance requirements<\/li>\n \t
  • Identify workplace hazards and apply appropriate risk control measures to prevent incidents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
